Y Capel ar Werth
But what language do the dead speak
I wonder, turning the pages
of the old family Beibl,
and how to break the lock they placed
on our tongues? Who lack all notion
of limit. Poetic Genius
is the true Man, and the body
or outward form of Man is derived
from the Poetic Genius.
That if the future self could speak,
all travesty and misery of history’s
dross shaken off and translated
into symbol and sunthema,
would it speak flesh-word or forest?
Restoration of that first bliss
plucked from Adam’s very own breast
or all the endless acres fly
to the promised land in the west?
