Jonathan Miles

After a nomadic childhood in the US, Canada and England, Jonathan Miles took a first from University College, London, before being awarded his doctorate from Jesus College, Oxford. A cultural historian, among his books are studies of David Jones and Eric Gill. The Wreck of the Medusa, published to international acclaim, has been optioned for a full-length film.  St.Petersburg – Three Centuries of Murderous Desire – a London Times History Book of the Year – was the first volume in an informal trilogy about iconic places created by strangers. Once Upon a Time World – the second in that series – was published to rave reviews in papers such as the New York Times and the London Sunday Times – ‘a phenomenol work’. Bites From the Big Apple – Manhattan to the Core will complete the trilogy in 2027.
