An Update from Seren – Interim Management
As you may be aware, Seren Publisher Mick Felton retired on Friday 30th June. As we are still looking to fill the position of Seren CEO, we’re posting this update to let you know what is going to happen during the next 4-6 months.
From the 1st July, our Deputy Publisher Sarah Johnson will be covering Mick’s role, with the full support of Seren staff, taking responsibility for the business and ensuring that Seren continues to run smoothly. Very little will change in terms of the day to day running of the business with minimal disruption to the way we work, and the Board of Directors will be actively working to support and advise staff throughout the coming months.
Sales Manager Simon Hicks will continue to work closely with our sales representatives across the UK, the editorial team will be supporting authors whose books are nearing publication and Sarah will continue to oversee Seren’s marketing activities with additional support from our Admin and Marketing Assistant Natalia Elliot, who will be working an additional day each week in the next few months.
As ever, Seren is committed to its authors and will remain in regular contact during this time. We will still be discussing submissions for future titles and will be in touch with anyone already having such conversations with Mick in the coming weeks.
This is an exciting time for Seren and as ever, we are grateful for the support of our authors, colleagues and customers as we look towards the future. We appreciate your patience as we settle into this new phase and anyone with concerns is welcome to contact us.
