Gillian Clarke, the National Poet of Wales 2008 – 2016 and Queen’s Gold Medal winner, will be reading with support from Jonathan Edwards and Rhian Edwards.There will be additional readings from some of Swansea’s best published poets: Natalie Ann Holborow, Emily Vanderploeg, Rebecca Lowe & Rae Howells. Jonathan Edwards work has appeared in a wide range of magazines, including Poetry Review, The North, Poetry Wales and New Welsh Review. His debut collection, My Family and Other Superheroes (Seren 2014) was the winner of that year's Costa Poetry Award and his second collection Gen (Seren 2019) won the People's Choice Award, Wales Book of the Year in 2019. Bridgend born Rhian Edwards is a multi-award winning poet who is known for her dazzling performance style and her vivid, often acutely personal poems. She has published two collections and a pamphlet for Seren. Clueless Dogs (2012) winner of Wales Book of the Year 2013 among many other awards, Brood (2017) and The Estate Agent's Daughter (2020).
