Sunday, July 11, 2021 - 15:00 to 16:00

St Michael’s and All Angels Church Courtyard, Church Rd, Ledbury HR8 1DL

Rhian Edwards | Ledbury Poetry Festival

Rhian Edwards will be reading from The Estate Agent’s Daughter (Seren 2020) her eagerly awaited follow-up to her multi-prizewinning debut Clueless Dogs (Seren 2012). Her voice is both powerfully personal, local to her Bridgend birthplace, and performative, born to be read aloud. ‘Brilliant, visceral poems. Reading them feels like being led through beautiful rooms by an estate agent who always takes care to show you what’s hidden beneath the floorboards’ (Joe Dunthorne). Also reading will be Bohdan Piasecki, a poet from Poland based in Birmingham who has taken his poems from the upstairs room in an Eastbourne pub to the main stage of the Birmingham Repertory Theatre via underground Tokyo clubs, tramways in Paris, a bookshop in Beijing and an airfield in Germany. Tickets: £5.00. For further information and to book visit:
