Nula Suchet | Books at the Barn
In this online event, Nula Suchet will be talking about her husband James, who had early an aggressive form of dementia, in an honest, open and inspiring ‘in conversation’.
About The Longest Farewell
When Nula’s husband James, an Irish documentary filmmaker, becomes forgetful they put it down to the stress of his work. But his behaviour becomes more erratic and inexplicable, and he is eventually diagnosed as suffering from Pick’s Disease, an early onset and aggressive form of dementia. Nula Suchet gives a heartfelt and deeply honest account of dealing with dementia through its many trials and tribulations.
This event will be supporting Dementia UK, a charity which provides specialist dementia support for families through their Admiral Nurse service. Admiral Nurses work alongside people with dementia, and their families: giving them compassionate one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions.
