Cath Drake | A Reading To Buoy Us
Aussie and UK writers have been meeting up to write pieces of solace, poignancy, observation and joy during these extraordinary lockdown times, under the heading 'Writing to Buoy Us', guided by poet and journalist Cath Drake (an Aussie living in London) whose collection The Shaking City was published by Seren earlier this year. Our guest reader is Mark Tredinnick OAM, one of Australia's most celebrated poets who has published many books of memoir and poetry. Over 20 writers are taking part and we will be reading highlights of our poems and stories from across the UK and Australia. Join us and hopefully our creativity will help buoy you too.
You will be sent the Zoom details a couple of days before the event. Please arrive on time as we may be close the meeting room a little after the start. It will be about 1hr 20mins long. Start Time: 11am UK (GMT+1)/ 6pm Perth, Australia / 8pm Australian Eastern Standard time. Please check and double check your timezone! The event is Free but you will need to register here: www.eventbrite.com
