Elizabeth Parker | Time and Tide, Solstice Shorts Festival

Elizabeth Parker's work will feature in the Arachne Press Solstice Shorts Festival, now in its sixth year. This year the theme is 'Time And Tide' and promises to be a very special event. Performances by actors and authors will take place in seven port towns on coasts and on tidal rivers, in four countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Portugal where audiences will be treated to a selection of stories, poems and songs inspired by water and tides: from the lives of those who make a living on or beside the water to those who make new lives over the water through immigration, emigration and diaspora. Elizabeth's collection In Her Shambles was published by Seren in 2018 and she has two new poems featured: her  WWII poem 'Declan' will be performed at Greenwich, while her poem 'The Watchers' about Anthony Gormley's statues on Crosby Beach will be performed at Clydebank, Greenwich, Maryport and Peterhead.
