Deryn Rees-Jones | TS Eliot Prize Readings

We are delighted that Deryn Rees-Jones' latest collection Erato (Seren 2019)  is shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize! Named after the Greek muse of lyric poetry, Erato combines documentary-style prose narratives with the passionate lyric poetry for which Rees-Jones is renowned. The themes within the collection are manifold but particularly focus on personal loss, desire and recovery, in the context of a world in which wars and displacement of people has become a terrifying norm.  Don't miss this opportunity to hear Deryn and the other  poets on the shortlist reading from their own work, on the eve of the award ceremony and the announcement of the winner. Hosted by poet Ian McMillan, the event is the first major highlight of the 2020 literary calendar. Tickets: £12 - £15. For further information and to book visit:
