Bob Walton, Claire Williamson, Elizabeth Parker & Paul Deaton | Launch of 'Track Record' Music and Poetry Collaboration
You're invited to the launch event of Track Record, a music and poetry soundtrack collaboration between Eyebrow and The Spoke, inspired by the Severn Beach Line. In a unique ‘silent disco’ on the train, the soundtrack will be streamed to you in real time on specially provided headphones, as you sit back and enjoy a route packed with variety, history, and inspiration, passing through landscapes that are by turns urban, suburban, industrial, post-industrial, rural, picturesque, bleak, homespun and spectacular.
On arrival, you can take a stroll along the Severn Estuary, and refuel at Shirley's Cafe, Down's Bakery or the 'Just As You Are' Tea Cottage, or go straight to the Severn Vale Festival, which will offer stalls, food, a dog show, classic cars, bouncy castles and much more. At 2:30pm, Eyebrow and The Spoke will be giving the live performance premiere of Track Record in the Village Hall, beside the Festival field. All Festival events are free entry.
Tickets for this extraordinary day-out are £5, which includes return rail fare from Bristol Temple Meads to Severn Beach and the 'silent disco' soundtrack.
Please arrive at Bristol Temple Meads concourse by 1pm at the latest, where you will be met by members of the Track Record team.
