Yvonne Reddick | Translating Mountains

As part of the Kendal Mountain Festival, award-winning poet Yvonne Reddick shares her poetry about mountains, hiking and her father's sudden death in the Highlands.  These poems explore risk, obsession and grief, but they also take us on an uplifting journey towards healing. Translating Mountains (Seren 2017) he Mslexia Magazine women's poetry pamphlet prize and was a favourite pamphlet of 2017 in the Times Literary Supplement.  Yvonne lectures in Creative Writing at the University of Central Lancashire. She has completed classic treks and scrambles such as the Tour du Mont Blanc and the Black Cuillin. Her poetry about mountains has won a Northern Writer's Award, a commendation in the National Poetry Competition, the Poetry Society's Peggy Poole Award, and a Creative Futures Literary Award.
