Judy Brown | Poetry Surgery at The Poetry Cafe, London
This is a wonderful opportunity to discuss your poetry on a one-to-one basis with poet and tutor Judy Brown, a relaxed but in-depth analysis of your poems. Identify strategies for further developing your writing, discuss problems you may be experiencing and look at strategies for taking your work forward. Judy runs one-hour sessions in The Poetry Cafe, London WC2 – at 11.15am, 12.30pm, 2.15pm, 3.30pm, or 4.45pm. £60 for Poetry Society Members, £70 for non-members. Book online at www.poetrysociety.org.uk or call Paul McGrane on 020 7420 9881. Once your session is booked, you will be asked to send up to 6 poems, or 150 lines maximum, in advance, so that Judy has sufficient time to read your poems beforehand. Judy’s second collection, Crowd Sensations (Seren, 2016), is a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. Her first collection, Loudness (Seren, 2011), was shortlisted for both the Forward and Fenton Aldeburgh best first collection prizes.
