May by Naomi Krüger longlisted for Not the Booker

31 July 2018 - 10:25am

The Guardian’s ‘Not the Booker’ longlist has just been revealed and Naomi Kruger’s debut novel, May, is one of 140 titles to be nominated. Also on the list are a number of books by fellow Welsh independent publishers: Ironopolis by Glen James Brown (Parthian), Ash by Alys Einion (Honno), Albi by Hilary Shepherd (Honno), and The Offline Project by Dan Tyte (Graffeg).

Voting is open for just one week – to vote, simply choose your two favourite books and leave a review in the comments section of the longlist announcement page (you have to have a Guardian account to do so). Please include the word ‘vote’ in your comment or it may not be counted.

We wish the best of luck to Naomi, whose startling novel, with its sensitive depictions of dementia, heartbreak and loss, is truly unforgettable.
