Writers in The Bath, featuring Judy Brown
Come along with your loved ones on Febuary 14th to The Bath Hotel, for an evening of poetry with readings from Seren poet Judy Brown and John Foggin.
About the readers:
Judy Brown lives in Wirksworth. Her most recent collection, Crowd Sensations, was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation, and her previous collection Loudness was shortlisted for the Forward and Fenton Aldeburgh Prizes for Best First Collection. Judy was Poet-in-Residence at the Wordsworth Trust in 2013 and a 2014 Writer-in-Residence at Gladstone’s Library. She has won the Manchester Poetry Prize, the Poetry London Competition and the Templar Pamphlet Competition.
John Foggin lives in West Yorkshire. He writes a weekly poetry blog: The Great Fogginzo’s Cobweb. His work has appeared in The North, The New Writer, Prole, and The Interpreters House, among others. In 2016 he was a winner of the Poetry Business International Pamphlet Competition. He has four pamphlets: his latest is Outlaws and fallen Angels (Calder Valley Poetry, 2016). His first collection, Much Possessed, was published by Smith/Doorstop in 2016.
There will also be a one poem each Open Mic – why not read your valentine a poem (or, even, read an anti-valentine poem)!
