Three Seren poets are celebrating success in the Magma Poetry Competition 2022/23 run by Magma Poetry Magazine. 

The winner of this year's competition is Ben Rogers with his poem ‘The Escape’ but two Seren poets took the 2nd and 3rd Prizes. Jonathan Edwards was awarded 2nd place for his poem ‘Penguins’ and Ilse Pedler was awarded 3rd place for her poem ‘When by body gave itself to counting’.

Vanessa Lampert, who's debut collection Say It With Me is due to be published in April 2023, was also highly commended for her poem ‘Thoughts entertained while sitting for Lucien Freud’.
