Stretch your poetic legs with multi-award winning poet, Rhian Edwards in this hour-long poetry writing workshop, exploring the theme of Belonging. An illustrated talk on the sacred springs, holy wells and spas of Wales, with photographer and writer, Phil Cope.  Phil will offer a brief illustrated introduction to the world of wellsprings, their origins, their cultures, and a few of their fascinating tales, followed by a closer look at the wells within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, alongside an assessment of the threats to and the state of our wellsprings sites today, leaving space at the end for comments and contributions, questions and complaints. Writing a first novel workshop with Hammad Rind. This workshop will be followed by  by readings from Hammad's debut novel Four Dervishes  (Seren 2021) and a Q&A session. This month’s Seren First Thursday is back on Zoom and we’re breaking tradition by running on the second Thursday of the month 9th June because of the Jubilee Bank Holiday. We're delighted to be joined by guest readers Paul Henry reading from As If To Sing and Susie Wild reading from Windfalls (Parthian).
