Elizabeth Parker, whose debut collection of poems In Her Shambles was published by Seren in 2018, is hosting a wonderful free music and poetry event  in her parents' garden nursery in the heart of the Forest of Dean. The event is the launch of composer  Justin Nicholl's new jazz symphony Wye Valley Seasons which celebrates the seasons in the Wye Valley. Justin will be accompanied by musicians and a choir. Join us at the Edge Festival on Sunday 4th August, 1:30 pm onwards to celebrate the launch of Real Preseli by John Osmond. See him in conversation with 'Real' series editor Peter Finch as they discuss 'life at the end of the line' and the hidden wonders waiting to be discovered amongst the bare hills, big skies, dramatic coastlines, bays and headlands of the 'Real Preseli.' Peter Finch will be reading at the Edge Festival in beautiful Pembrokeshire. His work is included Poems from Pembrokeshire, part of Seren’s new pamphlet series celebrating the spirit of place. Peter is a poet, author and critic who lives in Cardiff.  He is author of the hugely popular Real Cardiff  books, published by Seren and series editor for the 'Real' series. He has published numerous poetry titles including  Zen Cymru, Useful, Poems for Ghosts and Selected Later Poems from Seren. Jonathan Edwards was born and grew up in south Wales. He has an MA in Writing from the University of Warwick and currently works as an English teacher. He won the Terry Hetherington Award in 2010, was awarded a Literature Wales new writer’s bursary in 2011, and in 2012 won prizes in the Cardiff International Poetry Competition and the Basil Bunting Award. His poems have appeared in many magazines including The Poetry Review, The North, Poetry Wales and New Welsh Review. Emily Hinshelwood will be reading at the Edge Festival in beautiful Pembrokeshire. Her work is included Poems from Pembrokeshire, part of Seren’s new pamphlet series celebrating the spirit of place.
