New Romney

A new musical commission to commemorate the centenary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge will be performed at the JAM on the Marsh music festival in Romsey Marsh in Kent, to a score by the British composer Tom Harrold and the Canadian composer Stuart Beatch, setting specially-written words by Seren author Grahame Davies to music.   The work, ‘Voices of Vimy’ has been commissioned by the festival and by ProCoro Canada, a professional choir based in Edmonton, and will be performed by The BBC Singers, with one of the best Cellists in the UK – Jamie Walton, conducted by one of the finest church...

Seren poets Jonathan Edwards and Rhiannon Hooson are participating in 'Enemies: Ledbury Contemporary Poetry in Collaboration'. The Enemies project, led by S.J. Fowler, has created over 200 events, in 18 countries, with over 500 poets. Enemies: Ledbury will première collaborations written by poets both attending and participating in the Festival.
