Octavo's Book Cafe and Wine Bar is delighted to announce the first Cardiff Creative Writing Monday in association with Cardiff University. This inaugural event features a talk with poet, writer, librettist and translator Damian Walford Davies.  Entry is free - all are welcome!

Anne-Marie Fyfe hosts this classic Troubadour poetry night that’s all about happening poets & latest publications. The TS Eliot Prize Readings kick off the new year in the poetry world. Poets who have written the year's 10 best books read for eight minutes to a 2,000-strong audience the night before the £20,000 prize-winner is announced. At this year’s Poetry School Preview Event, poet Carrie Etter invites bracing commentary on the shortlisted books from you, the audience, in advance of the readings in the evening.
