Ross Cogan | Chapter & Verse Poetry Reading, The Hive

Enjoy an evening of live literature from three established and award-winning poets, David Clarke, Ross Cogan and Amanda Bonnick, as they take you on a thought provoking spoken word journey at The Hive.

David Clarke 
Winner of the Michael Marks award in 2013, David’s first collection, Arc, was published by Nine Arches Press in 2015 and was longlisted for the Polari Prize. Scare Stories was published by V Press in 2017 and was named a Poetry School ‘Book of the Year.’

Ross Cogan 
Ross has published three collections: Stalin’s Desk (2005) and The Book I Never Wrote (2012) and Bragr (2018) with Seren. Ross won first place in The Exeter Prize, The Staple Open Poetry Competition, The Frogmore Poetry Prize, The Crabbe Memorial Prize, and The Cannon Poets Sonnet Competition and second prize in the Troubadour International Poetry Competition.

Amanda Bonnick
A Worcester writer, producer, director and actor with Melting Pot Theatre Company. Amanda has co-hosted the Word and Sound open mic event and has performed her poetry at Parole Parlate, SpeakEasy, Licensed to Rhyme, and Stirchley Speaks spoken word events. She has recently published her poetry pamphlet Pick Your Own and is currently writing her third novel in a Children’s fiction series.
