Katrina Naomi | Rewilding Ecopoetry, One Day Poetry School Course

Take an inclusive trip into Ecopoetry with Katrina Naomi to explore the many different ways of writing the environment. In this course you will look at new ways of writing in response to the environment. As a woman who swims, walks and (very) occasionally wild camps alone, Katrina will be considering how women,  the working classes, people of colour, disabled people, LGBTQ+ people, and others who have traditionally not felt so welcome in the countryside are writing their way into it. We’ll write in response to Caleb Femi, Ellora Sutton, Khairani Barokka, Caleb Parkin, Rachael Allen, Kaveh Akbar, Tracy K Smith, and Elizabeth-Jane Burnett. We’ll write as another species, we’ll play at being god, we’ll write the gamut of spoilation to the possible joys of our very own desert island. Katrina Naomi has published two collections with Seren, The Way the Crocodile Taught Me (2016) and most recently Wild Persistence (2020). For further information and to book visit:
