Katrina Naomi with guest Pascale Petit | Penzance Poetry Parlour
Katrina Naomi is the host of Penzance Poetry Parlour, an occasional reading series with invited poets. This month Katrina has booked top poets Pascale Petit and Alyson Hallet. There will be an informal Q&A after the readings plus cava and popcorn! Entry is by a minimum £5 donation (if you can afford more, then the poets will be paid more). Please arrive early, seats are limited. Katrina's collection The Way the Crocodile Taught Me (Seren 2016) is a heartfelt and tragi-comic portrayal of a fraught childhood and adolescence. The pointed, lively and always entertaining poems are sure to win Katrina new readers as well as delighting her many followers. Pascale Petit has published five collections of poetry for Seren, the last of which Fauverie (Seren 2014) was shortlisted for the TS Eliot Prize. Her previous collection What the Water Gave Me: Poems after Frida Kahlo (Seren 2010) was shortlisted for both the TS Eliot Prize and Wales Book of the Year. This book has gone into a number of reprintings and was Jackie Kay’s Book of the Year in The Observer.
