Hannah Hodgson, Polly Atkin and Ilse Pedler | Seren Showcase at Cheltenham Poetry Festival (Online)
This event showcases three stunning poets from Seren. Hannah Hodgson's poems have been published by BBC Arts, The Poetry Society and Magma, amongst other outlets. She is a recipient of a 2020 Northern Writers Award for Poetry, and the 2021 Poetry Business New Poets Prize. Her debut collection from Seren, 163 Days, is published this year.
Polly Atkin's first poetry collection Basic Nest Architecture (Seren 2017) was longlisted for the Michael Murphy Memorial Prize and she is also the author of a number of pamphlets including Shadow Dispatches (Seren 2013) which won the Mslexia poetry pamphlet prize. Her second collection Much With Body was published by Seren in 2021. Ilse Pedler’s debut pamphlet The Dogs That Chase Bicycle Wheels (Seren 2016) won the Mslexia Poetry Pamphlet Prize 2015. Her work has been longlisted in the National Poetry Competition and the Rialto Nature Prize and highly commended in the Hippocrates. Her poems have been published widely in Stand, Magma, and Poetry News among others, as well as in several anthologies. Her debut collection Auscultation (Seren) was published in 2021.
