Grangetown Hub, Havelock Place, Cardiff, CF11 6PA

Hammad Rind | Open Space at Grange Town Library Hub

Hammad Rind is a Welsh-Pakistani writer, translator and the author of the debut novel Four Dervishes (Seren 2021), a playful social satire with elements of magic realism. Drawing on a long tradition of storytelling the novel skewers issues like religious bigotry, injustice, the denial of women’s rights, and class division. Lavishly inventive, verbally rich, an exotic confection, it is both darkly thematic and humorously playful.

In this event at Grangetown Library Hub, Hammad will be in conversation with Cardiff based poet, writer and literary content creator Taz Rahman whose debut poetry collection will be published by Seren in 2024. Admission is free, all welcome. To reserve a spot visit: www.cardifflibrariesevents.eventbrite.co.uk.
