W.N. Herbert, born in Dundee, is an internationally acclaimed poet who writes in English and Scots, and who has twice been shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize. Herbert is the author of a dozen poetry collections, including the two volumes of Omnesia (2013) and works of translation from Chinese and Somali. He is Professor of Poetry and Creative Writing at Newcastle University.
Ailbhe Darcy, born in Dublin, has been lauded for ‘boldly overhauling the received categories of the Irish poem . . . with cunning and humour’. Her second collection, Insistence (Bloodaxe, 2018) unfolds intimately, but with an awareness that the private world is under threat from forces beyond our control; the poems here insist upon the parent’s responsibility to her child, the poet’s to the reader, and the vulnerability of us all in the face of global crisis. Ailbhe is Lecturer in Creative Writing at Cardiff University.
Andrés Ehrenhaus is an Argentine writer and translator based in Barcelona, where he is Professor of Literary Translation at Pompeu Fabra University. His works include the short story collections Subir arriba (1993), Monogatari (1997), La seriedad (2000), and Un obús cayendo despedaza (2014), and a novel, Tratar a Fang Lo (2006). Ehrenhaus has translated works into Spanish by Jack Kerouac, John Lennon, Lewis Carroll, Edgar Allan Poe, and the complete poetry of Shakespeare.
