Cheltenham Poetry Festival are delighted to host a reading by Elizabeth Parker and Frank McMahon plus open mic. There will be a number of two-minute open mic slots available, including a number of slots reserved for poets who have not read at a Cheltenham Poetry Festival open mic before. Elizabeth Parker has won and been shortlisted for a number of prizes including the Bridport, Melita Hume, Troubadour International, and Gregory O’Donoghue awards. Her debut collection In Her Shambles (Seren 2018) was described as Wonderfully lucid and economical... precise and delicate in its use of language by Andrew Taylor and as a radiantly-written and vigorous collection by David Morley. Frank McMahon was born and raised in Birkenhead, Merseyside. His first volume of poetry At the Storm’s Edge, was published by Palewell Press early in 2020. Admission Free.
