Daniel Butler | Amdani Fachynlleth Travel & Literary Festival

Author and freelance journalist Daniel Butler discusses his book The Owl House (Seren 2020), which explores the rich wildlife surrounding his home near Rhayader. Daniel has lived in the Cambrian Mountains near Rhayader for the past twenty-five years, specialising in rural and environmental issues. Daniel’s passion for keeping hawks was compounded by two wild birds, barn owls which nested at his farm and became increasingly tame and familiar with him and his family. The Owl House was published by Seren last year and charts his relationship with the birds and the rich wildlife surrounding his home. Tickets: £10.
