Will Hayward

Will Hayward is a multi award winning journalist and columnist based in Wales specialising in politics and investigative journalism.

He is the Acting Political Editor of WalesOnline, the Western Mail and South Wales Echo where he is also a popular columnist. He has a passion for reporting on a huge range of issues around equality, poverty, climate change and domestic violence. For Will political reporting is not about the politicians but the people their day to day decisions affect.

Will didn’t realise he wanted to be a journalist until he was 25.

In his four year career Will has been nominated for 17 journalism awards and was named Welsh Journalist of the year in 2019.

His book Lockdown Wales: How Covid-19 Tested Wales is forthcoming from Seren in December 2020.
