Leslie Scase

Leslie Scase is the Shropshire-based author of Fortuna’s Deadly Shadow and an active member of the Crime Writers’ Association.

Born and educated in South Wales, Leslie worked in local industry before travelling widely across the UK during a career in the Civil Service. Fortuna’s Deadly Shadow is his first work of fiction and was inspired in part by his Italian grandfather who settled in South Wales in the 1890s.

Leslie has also written for the West Midlands Readers Network, with a short story, ‘Death at the Water’s Edge’ due to be published as part of an anthology in 2021.

A keen fly fisherman and real ale enthusiast, he lives close to the Welsh border, in the county town of Shrewsbury.

The second Inspector Chard mystery, Fatal Solution is forthcoming from Seren in April 2021.
