Kathryn Simmonds

Kathryn Simmonds’ first book of poetry ‘Sunday at the Skin Launderette’ won the Forward Prize for best first collection in 2008. She is a graduate of the Creative Writing MA at the University of East Anglia. Love and Fallout is her first novel and was a finalist in the Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize before it was published. In 2013-14 she was the first poet-in-residence at the Charles Causley Trust in Launceston, Cornwall.

Join four Seren Poets for a reading at Chener Books as part of their Poetry Month. Kathryn Simmonds' debut collection Sunday at the Skin Launderette (Seren 2008) won the Forward Prize for best first collection and her follow up, The Visitations was published by Seren in 2013.  Her debut novel, Love and Fallout, was published by Seren in 2014.  Judy Brown's third collection for Seren, Lairs, will be published in October. Her previous collection, Crowd Sensations was published by Seren in 2016, as was her debut, Loudness (2011) which was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First...
