Julie Brominicks

Julie Brominicks was an educator at the Centre for Alternative Technology near Machynlleth. Now a writer, her locational nature features and environmental articles are regularly published in BBC Countryfile Magazine. She lives off grid, in a caravan, in a secluded valley near Machynlleth. She is a longstanding walker, mostly around Europe. She blogs regularly at juliebrominicks.wordpress.com.

In this event at Cletwr, local author Julie Brominicks will be giving a talk about her new book The Edge of Cymru as part of their 10 year milestones series. Publication of her book in 2022 marked 10 years since she set out to walk around the edge of Wales.  Her journey, which happened in 2012, took her past many milestones as she completed her long-distance walk along the Welsh Borders. This event celebrates how anniversaries, and the passing of time, can be part of our future maps, as Cletwr celebrates it’s 10th Birthday this year.
