Clare Dudman

Clare Dudman is a novelist published by Viking, Penguin and Seren. Her children’s novel, Edge of Danger, won the Kathleen Fidler Award. Dudman was born in north Wales and has lived in or close to Chester for many years. She has a PhD in Chemistry and has worked as a postdoctoral research associate at UMIST, a development scientist in industry, a science teacher, a lecturer and as a creative writing tutor for the WEA, and at the Creative Writing MA at University College Chester. She is a member of the Welsh Academy and an editor with the Writers Workshop. With Seren she has published A Place of Meadows and Tall Trees (2010) and Real Chester (2016).
