Andrew Gallimore

Andrew Gallimore is an independent television producer. He set up an independent documentary film production house in 1996, and the company's programmes have been distributed to over forty countries. Gallimore has directed a range of programmes and films, including Celtic Fists, a series on boxing; 'The Gentleman Prizefighter', a documentary film about Jim Corbett, a former heavyweight boxing champion and The Devil's Gardens, a series on the history of landmines. Gallimore was educated at UCW Cardiff and the University of Oxford, where he was part of the Reuter Foundation Fellowship for International Journalism. In addition to his production work, Gallimore also wrote Occupation: Prizefighter (2006), the first biography of Welsh boxer Freddie Welsh, one of the best fighters in history.
